Argo Sherp

Argo Sherp

The All-Access UTV

It travels through water, over ice, snow, and debris and seats up to 8 passengers. It’s the Argo Sherp, and if you want to get one in Ohio, set your GPS for Jeff Schmitt Lawn and Motorsports.

What is a Sherp?

The Argo Sherp is an amphibious, two-door all-terrain Utility Task Vehicle (UTV). Although you may have seen them featured on “Jay Leno’s Garage” and in Viceland’s “Most Expensive” series, this is not a toy. If you’ve got people and gear to move through challenging terrain, check out a new Argo Sherp Pro for sale at our showroom.

Who Uses a Sherp?

Utilities, gas and oil companies, geological and search and rescue teams: the all-wheel-drive Argo Sherp Pro is ideal for any job that requires moving people and gear in and out of remote areas that are reachable only by watercraft or helicopter.

You can configure the Sherp Pro and Sherp Pro XT to securely seat up to 8 passengers (including the driver). And it has a total load capacity of 2,645 pounds.

New Sherp Selection

Tested on the Most Punishing Terrain on the Planet

Engineered and tested in extreme conditions in Siberia, this amphibious UTV can go where lesser ATVs fear to tread. With a 26” ground clearance, the Argo Sherp climbs over boulders and debris up to 3 feet high. Not only is it sealed to travel in water, but it can also climb out of the water and up an icy bank without losing its grip.

The Sherp is rated to climb and descend vertical inclines up to 35 degrees and can operate on a tilt angle up to 30 degrees. And you can control the tire pressure in the tubeless ultra-low-pressure tires. Just flip a switch on the dashboard, and the diesel engine functions as an air compressor, sending air into each tire through the exhaust tubes.

Drives Clean, Runs for Hours

Need another reason to look at an Argo Sherp for sale? Its robust, eco-friendly diesel engine meets the strict standards of the Clean Air Act. And it gets it climbing and crawling power thanks to 55 horses cranking 140 pound-feet of torque. Best of all, the Argo Sherp’s 25-gallon main fuel tank plus four auxiliary tanks integrated into the wheel hubs gives you 14 hours of nonstop run time.

How Much Does a Sherp Cost?

If you’re looking for a great deal on an Argo Sherp for sale in Ohio, you’ve found the right place. Because of their size and power, a Sherp Pro XT costs considerably more than the average ATV. But for construction companies, utilities, municipalities, and other businesses who need access to remote areas, a Sherp is an intelligent investment. And with Jeff Schmitt’s numerous financing options and commitment to delivering the best value, we’re confident we’ll work out a deal that’s best for your bottom line.
